Eboni Alexander is a self taught hairstylist, educated in the St.Louis public school system, wife, mother, lover of all things Artistic, truth seeker, and the author of internationally known ” It’s A Go Coloring Book.”
St.Louis native,educated in the St.Louis public school system, wife,mother,lover of all things Artistic and truth seeker is a fraction of Eboni Alexander. Self taught hairstylist, developing a love for art at a early age and also a sense of self worth, faced many challenges throughout life. Born and raised in St.Louis, the inner city isn’t for the faint of heart. Plagued by drugs,gangs, violence amongst other things took its toll on the community around her. Through navigating life’s trials of losing family and friends early in life, made Eboni’s strength, and gave her an ability to have a sense of self early. The looking glass self allowed Eboni to manage, survive, and strive to be the best she could be. Still on the quest to polish herself, with hope and faith through God has made the impossible possible in many cases. Nonetheless, nothing stopped her journey on achieving her goals and dreams. She continues to do the work to better herself, seeking truth in all things which birth becoming an author. Experiencing anxiety allowed her to turn the tables on mental health by creating and coloring. This form of art allowed Eboni to “unwind” and “slow her thoughts” of negativity, worry, and things beyond her control while helping like minded individuals to reflect on themselves personally. Doing the work is a continuous process because no one thing works. Collectively through creating a vision, seeing it through, and reinventing the idea of “making it” makes the process and journey worth it. Blood,sweat, tears, and fears will be there, dust yourself off, get up and continue to be great. #ItsAGO
